One91 Preschool uses a planning framework based on theory and research that provides early childhood teachers with a sound method to plan and implement daily activities for learning in the classroom. This framework aligns with Minnesota early learning standards and includes language and literacy, math, science, social emotional development, dramatic play, the arts and learning with nature.
One91 Preschool has earned 4 stars, the highest rating possible from Minnesota's Parent Aware system. This award ensures that programs meet the highest standards in providing quality early childhood programming and well qualified teachers.
Preschool teachers have a degree in early childhood or a related field and assistants have a combination of education and experience with young children.
2019-20 Preschool Information will become available Thursday, January 10. Applications will be processed through a lottery system.
Prekindergarten for 4 year olds
Children who are 4 by September 1, 2019
Classes are offered 4 days per week, Tuesday through Friday am & pm.
Prekindergarten is offered at Gideon Pond, Edward Neill, Hidden Valley, MW Savage, Rahn, Sioux Trail , Sky Oaks, Vista View Elementary schools.

Preschool for 3 to 5 year olds
Children who are 3 by September 1, 2019
Classes are offered at Diamondhead Education Center, 9:30 am - noon or 1-3:30 pm two or three days per week. Evening class is also offered on Tuesday and Thursday 4:30 pm - 7 pm. Children must have independent toileting skills.
Parents and Children 33 months-4 years by September 1, 2019
Two day per week program, one day parent/child ECFE class and one day child only preschool. Children do not need to have independent toileting skills mastered to attend. Sibling care is available for Thursday family day ($25 per month per sibling).

First time preschooler registration forms
All items in the application packet must be complete and up-to-date to receive class placement.
Preschool and Prekindergarten placements will be determined through a lottery process. Completed applications will be accepted for the first round lottery through March 30. Families will be notified of their child's placements by the end of April. After the lottery, space availabiity will be reviewed and awarded on a monthly basis.
Scholarships may be available.

Transportation is not guaranteed at the time but may be available for children attending the 4 year old prekindergarten program at elementary schools who live or attend child care within the attendance area of the elementary site. Please indicate your need on the registration form. No transportation is provided to Diamondhead Education Center.
