Cancelation, Refund Policy, Emergency Cancelation Information

Community Education reserves the right to cancel any activity due to insufficient enrollment. When an activity is canceled, Community Education will make every effort to contact registrant 48 hours before the scheduled start of the activity. Complete refunds will be given when this occurs. Persons who wish to withdraw their registration must do so no later than two business days before the activity is scheduled to start. There is a $5 per student/ per class service fee. The fee is $25 for the Gifted & Talented Summer Institute. Please remember, if you are unable to attend a class, you may send someone in your place. Absolutely no refunds will be made after 48 working hours prior to the start of an activity. No refunds will be made for trips and tours after the registration deadline. ISD 191 Community Education periodically takes pictures of participants in our classes and during other sponsored activities. These photos may be used in the Community Education catalog or other promotional materials. If you do not wish to have your picture taken or published, you must provide us written notice in advance. When you include your email on your registration, it allows us to send class reminder messages, instructor or weather cancelations on a quicker basis, as needed. We will never give your information to any other agency, it is strictly for use by ISD 191 Community Education.
When severe weather or other emergencies affect the regular school day, daytime community education activities or those that meet immediately after school are also canceled. Evening activities may be held if there is significant improvement in the emergency situation.
Alerts will be posted on the District and Community Education websites. Information will be relayed through local television and radio stations, and announcements will be posted to Facebook and Twitter accounts. Community Education will attempt to make up classes missed due to weather or other emergencies. or
